Ampere’s intelligent electric vehicle (iEV)-native platforms strategy generates significant cost advantage compared to a multi-traction approach. With its AmpR Small platform for B-segment and AmpR Medium platform for C-segment cars, Ampere shared the vast majority of material costs between the family and benefits from a significant advance compared to competition.
BATTERY AND E-POWERTRAIN
TO LOWER COSTS
To reach optimal range with reasonable battery size, Ampere works both on battery and e-Powertrain efficiency. Our next-gen battery, set for 2027, follows three key streams along its development roadmap to cut costs drastically: design to cost, energy and power. Ampere has built a strong backbone to optimize e-Powertrain efficiency thanks to fewer parts and more compacity.

Emblème’s 100% electric propulsion architecture, based on the AmpR Medium platform, guarantees low-carbon driving.
The Renault Emblème concept car emits no CO2e when in use, since it is powered by a ‘conventional’ rechargeable battery, sufficient for everyday use, and by a hydrogen fuel cell for long journeys. What’s more, its technological platform accommodates the various components of the dual-energy electric powertrain, while maintaining a low centre of gravity and an ideal weight distribution to combine performance and energy efficiency.
SOFTWARE BY AMPERE
The software and AI on board Emblème play an important role in achieving maximum energy efficiency.
Driving aids available via an advanced human/machine interface enable the driver to adopt a driving style that is both economical and safe, and to further reduce energy consumption. Applications such as ‘eco score’ and ‘safety score’ help motivate drivers with specific scores for each journey, encouragement and suggestions for improvement.
MANUFACTURING ECOSYSTEM BY AMPERE
The industrial and logistical processes used by Ampere Electricity, based in the north of France, contribute to a reduced carbon footprint in the manufacturing phase.
The 160 kW synchronous wound rotor electric motor, which uses no rare earths, is produced by the Ampere Manufacture in Cléon. The 40 kWh battery, which can be recycled, is produced at the Ampere Manufacture in Douai, as part of the gigafactory created in partnership with AESC. The battery container is produced at the Ampere Manufacture in Ruitz. 75% of Electricty’s suppliers are located less than 300 km from the manufacturing site.

Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric follows the path paved by Scenic Vision, as the first production car to embody the Renault brand’s new sustainable development strategy on the environment, safety and inclusion.
Up to 24% of the vehicle’s materials are recycled. And 95% of its mass – including the battery – is recyclable in industrial facilities, under the terms of Directive 2005/64/EC.
Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric is the family car that meets all usages, especially thanks to its up to 625km range (WLTP).

With its playful personality and expressively headlights, the Renault 5 has been a legend since the 1970s. Renault and Ampere are reimagining and recreating this iconic vehicle while thrusting it into a new era of electric mobility.
The fully electric city car has been unveiled during the 2024 Geneva International Motor Show. Built on the new AmpR Small platform used for the first time, Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric is fun to drive. Directly derived from the higher segments, the chassis with multi-link rear axle increases driving pleasure and comfort. The Renault 5 is also the first in a long series of cars to benefit from the V2G (vehicle-to-grid) technology thanks to its brand-new bidirectional charger. The vehicle is assembled at ElectriCity and manufactured in Douai, with the engine produced in Cleon.

Revealed at 2024 Paris Motor Show, Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric pays tribute to its iconic predecessor, a symbol of simplicity, agility and robustness. This versatile, functional, modular model with a large, easy-to-load boot is able to satisfy a wide variety of everyday needs.
The vehicle is assembled at Ampere ElectriCity in Maubeuge plant, the motor at the Cléon site and the battery from March 2025 at Douai.
Like the Renault 5, this model will be built on the new AmpR Small platform and will offer range of up to 400 km.

TWINGO
E-TECH 100% ELECTRIC PROTOTYPE
Twingo E-Tech 100% electric Prototype is the intelligent solution to the challenges of urban mobility. A vehicle that takes up 20% less space than most European cars, with a single-volume silhouette that maximises interior space. Thanks to its sustainable design and limited size, Twingo E-Tech 100% electric Prototype avoids extracting 30 tonnes of raw materials per car, compared with the average for its segment.
Its production version will aim for best-in-class fuel efficiency, with consumption of just 10 kWh/100 km. Over its entire lifecycle, it will emit around 75% less CO2 than the average vehicle sold in 2023.
